Born from Connection

Casa Masha was born from an unbreakable bond between Asha and Macho. Their names came together to form Masha, and with it, the identity of the house.

Asha carries the idea of legacy and transcendence, of what endures and the bonds that stay with us. Macho brings vitality, strength and the determination to keep moving forward.

Together, they represent the balance at the heart of Casa Masha. Respect for what grounds us, paired with the courage to move ahead.

The Meaning of 4

The number 4 represents balance, stability and solid foundations. These are the principles at the heart of Casa Masha and the reason the number became central to its identity.

It is more than a name on the bottle. The 4 is built into the brand itself, a constant reminder of what Casa Masha stands for and what it intends to preserve as it grows.

The Guardian

Mashito is Casa Masha’s winged alebrije, created as a guardian for the house and a symbol of its Mexican identity.

Colorful, fearless and impossible to overlook, he carries the spirit behind ¡Ámonos Perros!. It is an invitation to face what comes with courage, keep moving forward and make room for celebration along the way.

Planting

Where It Begins

Planting in the Casa Masha mezcal process

Espadín starts in the fields of Oaxaca. Casa Masha uses land that has already been cultivated, avoiding unnecessary clearing and reducing the impact on the surrounding environment.

Young agave plants are selected for healthy leaves, size and strength, then treated preventively against fungi and disease before being planted individually by experienced growers.

Santiago Matatlán, Oaxaca

4 by Casa Masha is made in Santiago Matatlán, Oaxaca, a town closely identified with mezcal production. The road into town carries the words “Capital Mundial del Mezcal”, a fitting introduction to a place where mezcal is part of everyday life.

This is where Casa Masha’s Espadín is transformed into mezcal, using the traditional methods shown in the process above. From planting and jima to cooking, fermentation and double distillation, the work behind each bottle happens here.
